Flooring Types We Install
The right floor depends on the room. Wet areas, pets, kids and rental turnover all point to different materials. We will walk you through the tradeoffs honestly, including when the budget option is the smarter choice.
- Luxury vinyl plank (LVP): waterproof, durable and the most requested floor we install
- Laminate: budget friendly with a hardwood look for dry areas
- Tile: kitchens, bathrooms, entryways and laundry rooms
- Baseboards, quarter round and stair nosing to finish every edge
Why Subfloor Prep Matters
Most flooring failures start under the floor: high spots that cause hollow clicks, low spots that flex, and moisture that was never checked. Before installation we remove the old flooring, inspect the slab or subfloor, level where needed and only then start laying material. It is the least visible part of the job and the most important.
What a Flooring Project Looks Like
- Measurement and a written quote covering material, labor and prep
- Furniture moving and old floor removal
- Subfloor leveling and moisture check
- Installation with manufacturer specified spacing and underlayment
- Transitions, baseboards and full cleanup
Frequently Asked Questions
Plan for roughly 10 percent extra for straight layouts and a bit more for diagonal patterns or rooms with many cuts. We calculate the exact quantity during the estimate.
Sometimes. If the tile is flat, well bonded and the added height does not create door or transition problems, floating LVP can go over it. We check this on site before quoting.
An average living area of around 500 square feet usually takes one to two days including prep, depending on how much old flooring needs to come out.
